Behr tied his career-high with nine points in the Mariners’ 15-10 victory over WestConn, recording six goals and three assists. The junior attack has now opened the season with three straight games of seven or more points and currently ranks among the national leaders in goals per game and points per game. Behr added three ground balls in the win as Merchant Marine improved its strong early-season form.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sean Lawson, Farmingdale St.
Junior, LSM; Mattituck, N.Y./Mattituck
Lawson delivered a two-way performance from his long-stick midfield position in Farmingdale’s 18-12 road win at Hartwick. The junior scored a career-high two goals while also scooping up seven ground balls for the third consecutive game. He added one caused turnover and went 2-for-3 on faceoffs, impacting possession and transition throughout the contest.
Rookie of the Week
Ethan Vargas, Farmingdale St.
Freshman, Attack; Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore
Vargas recorded three goals in Farmingdale State’s 18-12 victory at Hartwick, including the game-winning tally and a man-up score. The freshman attack was efficient throughout the afternoon, converting all three of his shot attempts. He also contributed a ground ball and a caused turnover as the Rams improved to 3-0 on the season.

Joey Forchelli, Farmingdale St. - Led all scorers with seven points (five goals, two assists) in the Rams’ win at Hartwick, shooting an impressive .917 and scoring twice on man-up opportunities
Joe Ulzheimer, Manhattanville - Earned his first win of the season with a 10-save performance in a 9-8 victory over FDU-Florham, including three key saves in a scoreless second quarter
Frank Tallerico, Manhattanville - Scored two goals and added an assist in the Valiants’ first win of the season at FDU-Florham, while also contributing four ground balls
