Higher Seeds Advance to Women's Basketball Semifinals

NEW YORK | The 2026 Skyline Conference Women’s Basketball semifinals are set following Wednesday’s quarterfinal contests at Mount Saint Mary and Farmingdale State.

No. 3 Mount Saint Mary 82, No. 6 Sarah Lawrence 53
Mount Saint Mary shot 49.3 percent from the field and used a dominant third quarter (27-12) to pull away from Sarah Lawrence at the Kaplan Recreation Center.

Five Knights scored in double figures, led by Brianna Guglielmo with 14 points, six rebounds and five assists. Reese Mayer added 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting, while Sara Cashin and Keira Frias each contributed 12 points. Margaret Trinkaus finished with 11 points and a team-high 12 rebounds, and Angelina Donato dished out 10 assists to go along with 11 points.

MSMC finished with a 44-37 rebounding edge, 46 points in the paint and 22 bench points.

Sarah Theriault led Sarah Lawrence with 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting. Gabby Hudson added 13 points and Jade Eng-Stewart scored 10. The Gryphons shot 36.4 percent overall and were limited to 2-of-15 from three-point range.

No. 4 Farmingdale State 43, No. 5 St. Joseph’s (L.I.) 37
Farmingdale State advanced in a defensive battle at Nold Hall, holding St. Joseph’s (L.I.) to 25.5 percent shooting in the six-point win.

After trailing 17-14 at halftime, the Rams outscored the Golden Eagles 15-9 in the third quarter to take control. Farmingdale forced 20 St. Joseph’s turnovers and turned them into 11 points.

Mia Simmons led all scorers with 16 points and added two steals. Alexandria Walbroehl posted eight points and 15 rebounds, while Emily Tsiforas and Samyah Allen each added six points.

St. Joseph’s was led by Madelyn Barone, Gabriella Andreacchi, and Isabelle Lebron, who each scored nine points. Andreacchi also grabbed 12 rebounds, and Chantelle Larbi finished with 15 boards.
