Women's Basketball Championship Field Set

NEW YORK | The six-team field for the 2025-26 Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Championship is now set.

First-round play of the Feb. 25-March 1 championship gets underway on campus sites Wednesday evening.

Top-seeded Manhattanville and No. 2 U.S. Merchant Marine Academy earn byes into Friday's semifinal round, with the championship final taking place on Sunday, March 1 at the highest-remaining seed.

The winner of the championship receives the Skyline's automatic bid to the following week's 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.

In first-round play, fourth-seeded Farmingdale State will play host to fifth-seeded St. Joseph's-Long Island on Wednesday in Farmingdale, N.Y., with tip-off slated for 5:00 p.m. The winner of that contest will travel two nights later to Purchase, N.Y., for a matchup at No. 1 Manhattanville. Anchored by First-Team All-Conference selection senior forward Esther Ramos, the Valiants finished the regular season 18-2 in conference play. 

USMMA with Player of the Year sophomore Carolae Barton awaits the winner of Wednesday night's 6:30 pm start between sixth-seeded Sarah Lawrence and No. 3 Mount Saint Mary, which will play host to the first-round contest in Newburgh, N.Y.

In the most recent edition of the Skyline Championship, Mount Saint Mary, behind the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, Brianna Guglielmo, upset undefeated USMMA in the 2025 finale.
