2025-26 Women’s Basketball All-Conference Teams Announced

NEW YORK – The Skyline Conference today announced its 2025-26 Women’s Basketball All-Conference Team and major award winners, highlighted by U.S. Merchant Marine Academy sophomore forward Carolae Barton, who was selected as the Skyline Player of the Year.

Barton, 2024-25 Defensive Player and Rookie of the Year, delivered one of the most dominant seasons in the conference, averaging 19.0 points and 11.6 rebounds per game overall, while posting 18.7 points and 12.4 rebounds per game in Skyline play. She shot an outstanding .632 from the field, totaled 475 points and 290 rebounds, and added 66 blocks on the season.

The Defensive Player of the Year award went to Farmingdale State senior point guard Shyann Parker, who put together one of the most complete two-way seasons in the league. Parker totaled 189 rebounds overall, 140 in conference, and averaged 7.6 rebounds per game, ranking among conference leaders while also finishing top-10 in assists, assist-to-turnover ratio, and steals.

Mount Saint Mary freshman Reese Mayer earned Rookie of the Year honors after leading the Skyline with 4.6 assists per game, a 2.2 assist-to-turnover ratio, and an elite .833 free-throw percentage. Mayer added 7.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game overall.

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy head coach Alexa Shields was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Mariners through another standout campaign, highlighted by three First Team selections and a balanced attack that ranked among the conference leaders on both ends of the floor.

First Team: Joining Barton on the First Team were Madelyn Barone (St. Joseph’s-Long Island), Emily Grasseler (Merchant Marine), Brianna Guglielmo (Mount Saint Mary), Esther Ramos (Manhattanville), and Hannah Ramsden (Merchant Marine).

Second Team: The Second Team includes Gabby Hudson (Sarah Lawrence), Mercedes Perez (St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn), Sarah Theriault (Sarah Lawrence), and Margaret Trinkaus (Mount Saint Mary), alongside Parker.

The head coaches also announced their respective recipients for the All-Sportsmanship Team. The conference recognizes All-Sportsmanship Team members in all 19 of its championship sports, with each program announcing one recipient for his or her sportsmanlike demeanor – both in and out of competition.
