Barton Collects WBCA All-America Honorable Mention

KINGS POINT, N.Y.
  – U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's basketball sophomore Carolae Barton (Waldorf, Md.) is an All-American once again! Barton was selected to the All-America Honorable Mention list by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for the second-straight season.
 
Barton becomes the first Mariner in program history to earn multiple career All-America honors. This is also the third season that a USMMA women's basketball player garnered praise as an All-American, as Lauren Hunter '23 was also an honorable mention back in 2022-23 and Barton earned this distinction after the 2024-25 season.
 
Going into the final weekend of the 2025-26 season, Barton currently ranks third in the nation in field goal percentage (60.6), sixth in blocks per game (2.89), eighth in double doubles (20), ninth in total rebounds (336), 13th in rebounds per game (12.4), 16th in defensive rebounds per game (8.3), 28th in total points (507), 31st in points per game (18.8) an 35th in offensive rebounds per game (4.2).
 
The 2025-26 Skyline Conference Player of the Year also received First Team honors on the All-Skyline, D3hoops All-Region 3 and All-ECAC Teams.
