NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference Athletic Directors’ Executive Committee has announced updates to its leadership structure following the departure of former chair Phil Stern, who has been elevated to Vice President for Student Engagement at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
Chris Bisignano of Purchase College will serve as Chair, with SUNY Old Westbury’s Lenore Walsh stepping into the Chair-Elect role, while Manhattanville’s Julene Caulfield remains as Past Chair for an additional year to ensure continuity. Melody Cope of St. Joseph’s-Long Island will serve as Vice Chair through the spring semester, maintaining stability within the conference’s leadership succession process.
“Phil’s leadership and service to the Skyline have been invaluable, and we’re excited for him as he steps into this new role,” said Melissa Reilly, Skyline Conference Commissioner. “This adjusted structure allows us to maintain consistency and momentum while continuing to support our athletic directors and the important work they do for our student-athletes.”
The Executive Committee is responsible for guiding Athletic Directors’ Council meetings, assisting with conference planning and governance, and acting on behalf of the group between meetings when needed.
