ALL-CONFERENCE RESULTS
Kings Point, N.Y. - The 2026 Skyline Conference Swimming & Diving Championships concluded Saturday night with a familiar sight atop the standings, as the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy captured both the men’s and women’s team titles to close out a dominant two-day performance inside Sue Peterson Lubow pool.
The Mariners compiled 1,052 points on the men’s side and 620 on the women’s side, sweeping the championships.
Following the meet, the conference announced its major award winners, headlined by Merchant Marine standouts Ken Fedorenko (Men’s Swimmer of the Year), Nick Hardt (Men’s Rookie of the Year), Carter Kov (Men’s Diver of the Year) and Head Coach Sean Tedesco (Men’s Coach of the Year).
On the women’s side, Natalie Scarfetta (Swimmer and Rookie of the Year) and Tori Crofford (Diver of the Year) led the honors list, while Chris Mance of Mount Saint Mary earned Women’s Coach of the Year recognition.
Men’s Highlights
The men’s competition saw Merchant Marine set the pace early with a Skyline record in the 400 medley relay (3:29.58) and later a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:11.09).
Nick Hardt posted two record performances, winning the 400 IM (4:08.97) and 200 butterfly (1:56.41). Max Fedorenko added victories in the 100 freestyle (46.66) and 100 backstroke (52.40).
SUNY Maritime’s Rowan Hayes earned individual titles in both breaststroke events, winning the 100 (57.94) and 200 (2:08.58). Mount Saint Mary scored key points in the distance and relay events, including third in the 400 freestyle relay (3:43.04), while St. Joseph’s (L.I.) added multiple scoring swims and a fourth-place relay finish (3:55.23).
In diving, Merchant Marine’s Carter Kov swept the boards with wins on 1-meter (502.95) and 3-meter (492.10).
Women’s Highlights
On the women’s side, Merchant Marine opened the session with a victory in the 400 medley relay (4:12.95) and went on to capture the 400 freestyle relay (3:46.67) to close the meet.
Freshman Scafetta paced the Mariners with a Skyline meet record in the 400 IM (4:46.41), while also adding wins in the 1000 freestyle (10:57.00) and 200 backstroke (2:15.64).
Mount Saint Mary’s Antonia Licardi claimed two individual titles, winning the 200 freestyle (2:01.57) and 100 freestyle (54.21). St. Joseph’s (L.I.) junior AvaGrace Monti delivered a championship swim in the 200 breaststroke (2:28.79) and also placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.51) and third in the 400 IM (4:56.50).
Sarah Lawrence posted consistent podium finishes, including Keilani Talma (third, 100 fly, 1:02.08) and a runner-up 400 freestyle relay (3:51.79), while SUNY Maritime added points behind Oceana Elefante in the breaststroke events and a fourth-place relay finish.
In the final standings, Merchant Marine captured the women’s title with 620 points, followed by Sarah Lawrence (395), Mount Saint Mary (285), St. Joseph’s (213) and SUNY Maritime (127). On the men’s side, the Mariners totaled 1052 points, ahead of SUNY Maritime (296), Mount Saint Mary (230), St. Joseph’s (140) and Sarah Lawrence (7).
