MANCHESTER, Conn. | The Farmingdale State College women's tennis team's 2024-25 season came to an end Friday morning at the Magic Lincer Tennis Club, as the Rams fell to Colby-Sawyer College, 4-0, in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship.
The matches were held indoors due to inclement weather, with Amherst College serving as the host institution. The Chargers (14-7) advance to Saturday's second round, where it will face third-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.).
FSC (14-6) rounds out a campaign in which it won its record eighth Skyline Conference championship, and saw four student-athletes named to the All-Skyline Team - including senior and Player of the Year Lien Collings - juniors Amanda Jones and MacKenzie Gisler and sophomore Natalia Furchel.
Colby-Sawyer earned the doubles point with a pair of victories. Collings and junior Gabriella Loria collected two games in their unfinished second-flight match.
Gisler and junior Mikayla DeMaria earned three games apiece in the first set of their fourth and sixth singles matches, respectively.
