Farmingdale State Men Projected to Repeat in Men’s Lacrosse

NEW YORK | A first time crown for Farmingdale State last spring has paved the way to their No. 1 distinction in the latest edition of the preseason poll.

The Skyline Conference's eight head men's lacrosse coaches have voted in the 2025 outfit of the league's preseason rankings, projecting defending champion FSC (below) after the third-seeded Rams upended top-seeded Maritime, 12-11, in the Skyline Conference Championship Final in May.

The Rams received six out of the eight first-place votes (institutions are not permitted to vote for their own team), and earned 47 voting points. 2024 runner-up Maritime comes in second with 42 points. USMMA (40) is third, while Manhattanville (31) and Mount Saint Mary (24) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, and will be competing for the final playoff spot based on projections. Mount Saint Vincent, St. Joseph’s-Long Island and Purchase round out the poll.

The four-team 2025 Skyline Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship gets underway with semifinals action at campus sites on Tuesday, April 29. The championship final is set for Friday, May 2, with the Skyline winner receiving automatic qualification to the following week's 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship.
