Mayer turned in a standout performance to help lead the Mariners to a home dual-meet victory over Division II Adelphi on Thursday night. The senior opened the meet by leading off the 200 medley relay, posting a strong 24.73 backstroke split as the quartet finished in 1:35.07. Mayer followed with an impressive 1:58.26 showing in the 200 individual medley before closing his night with a 52.67 effort in the 100 backstroke.

Freshman; Goodyear, Ariz./BASIS Goodyear

Kov delivered a historic night on the boards, breaking two U.S. Merchant Marine Academy diving records to propel the Mariners to a home win over Division II Adelphi. The freshman opened the evening with a record-setting 379.88 score on the three-meter board, before following it up with another program best of 374.03 in the one-meter event.

Freshman; Deer Park, N.Y./Saint Anthony’s

Hernandez played a pivotal role in the Mariners’ home dual-meet win over Division II Adelphi, showcasing speed and versatility throughout the meet. The freshman captured first place in the 100 butterfly with a time of 51.74, while also clocking 22.02 in the 50 freestyle. Hernandez was also part of the 200 medley relay, swimming the butterfly leg with a 22.81 split as the relay finished in 1:35.07.
