EAST MEADOW, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men’s golf team continued its conference dominance, capturing the 2025 Skyline Conference Championship on Monday afternoon at Eisenhower Park’s White Course. The Rams posted a two-day score of 598 (+22) to claim their sixth consecutive Skyline title and 17th overall, finishing 43 strokes ahead of runner-up St. Joseph’s University-Long Island (641, +65).
Junior Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) earned Skyline Player of the Year honors after finishing atop the individual leaderboard with an even-par 144 (69–75). Douglas fired a 2-under front nine on Monday en route to his second career medalist victory.
Teammates Luke O’Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.) and Luke Grebinar (Leominster, Mass.) placed second and third overall with scores of 150 (+6) and 152 (+8), respectively. Grebinar’s performance earned him Rookie of the Year recognition. CJ Merritt (Plainview, N.Y.) and Philip Connolly (Garden City, N.Y.) tied for fifth at 154 (+10), helping Farmingdale State sweep the First Team All-Conference honors for a second straight season.
Head Coach Ryan Williams was voted Coach of the Year, rounding out the Rams’ sweep of the major awards.
With the win, Farmingdale State clinches the conference’s automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, set for May 12–15 at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
Strong Showings Across the Conference
Runner-up St. Joseph’s University-Long Island placed three golfers in the top 11, led by Nick Gentile (+12, 156) in seventh place. Chase Zere (+13, 157) followed closely behind in eighth, while Jace Pesce (+19, 163) secured 11th overall to lead the Golden Eagles to their best team finish since 2019.
Yeshiva University’s Pinny Ehrenfeld (+9, 153) continued his strong season with a fourth-place finish to earn First Team All-Conference distinction, while teammate Izzy Bromberg (+23, 167) tied for 17th. The Maccabees also saw contributions from Gavi Steinlauf (+27, 171) in a tie for 24th.
Manhattanville University’s Corey Popowcer (+16, 160) earned Second Team All-Conference honors after placing ninth. The Valiants placed three golfers in the top 30, with Liam Parker (+27, 171) and William Billequey (+28, 172) rounding out the scoring lineup.
Mount Saint Mary College’s Chris Closi (+17, 161) paced the Knights with a 10th-place finish and Second Team All-Conference recognition. Charlie Bezold (+20, 164) and Ruslan Makarenko (+22, 166) also turned in strong performances as MSMC placed three in the top 16.
SUNY Old Westbury was led by Matthew Lee (+21, 165) in a tie for 14th, while Mike Tuzzolo (+23, 167) and Jake Berenger (+25, 169) finished inside the top 20, highlighting a balanced showing from the Panthers.
SUNY Purchase’s Christian Miesegas (+20, 164) led the Panthers and tied for 12th, followed by Stephen Mains (+25, 169) in a tie for 20th.
Mount Saint Vincent’s Patrick Taylor (+25, 169) and David Hoagland (+26, 170) paced the Dolphins, while Brennan Sherman, the program’s Elite 19 Award winner, represented the team with distinction both on the course and in the classroom.
