FSC Grad Baldino Wins Skyline Design Contest

NEW YORK I The votes have been tallied and Farmingdale State College recent graduate and women’s lacrosse student-athlete Dominique Baldino has won the Skyline Conference Logo Design Contest. Her design (below) will now become the new logo for the league’s 2024-25 championship t-shirts.

Baldino graduated from FSC with a major in Visual Communications: Graphic Design this past May. She played four seasons on the Rams’ women’s lacrosse team. She is a 2020 graduate of Holy Trinity Diocesan High School, where she earned the Coaches Award and seven Varsity Letters Award. She was also a team captain, Most Improved Player and a 2019 CHSAA State Champion. This past season at FSC, the senior was an All-Skyline Second Team selection, Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators and a member of the Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll after playing in 19 games on the Rams' defense, registering 20 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers and her first career goal.

“I’m honored to win this design contest,” said Baldino, who won a $50 gift certificate and will be recognized on the conference website and socials for her design (above). “I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Skyline Conference outside of competing on the field.”

Skyline Commissioner Melissa Reilly said, “the contest was not only an exciting and interactive way to select our featured "Champions" logo for the year, but it was also an initiative to bring our Skyline community together. The Skyline will continue to look for innovative ways to engage with our fans by providing opportunities to connect with contests and unique content across our platforms.”

The Skyline opened the contest in July and after receiving submissions created a vote via social media and the conference website to have the community of fans select the logo. A total of 630 votes were received between the nine logos up for the honor, with 280 going to Baldino’s submission.
