Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Team Announced

NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's eight head men's lacrosse coaches have cast their votes in the latest edition of the all-conference team, selecting Farmingdale State’s Thomas Stock as Offensive Player of the Year and Maritime's Kieran Hendry as Defensive Player of the Year.

FSC standout attacker Adam Giovinco was tabbed as Rookie of the Year following a stellar freshman campaign that was highlighted by a Skyline Conference championship.
FSC’s Sean Chamberlain and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy’s Dan Paccione have been named Co-Coach of the Year in voting conducted by their peers.

Stock (below) was a three-time Skyline Offensive Player of the Week and a one-time USILA Team of the Week selection during the spring. The conference leader through regular-season play in points per game, total assists and points, he entered the final day of the regular season ranked 12th nationally in PPG, 21st in GPG and 57th in APG. It was a banner season for Stock, who guided the Rams to the championship as the third seed, after becoming the program’s all-time leading goal and point scorer, and one of just two to reach the 200 career-point milestone.

Hendry (below) anchored a Privateer defense that reached the conference championship following a regular-season crown and the No. 1 seed. The senior finishes his Maritime undergraduate career as a four-time All-Conference performer. He averaged 7.27 Ground balls this season and is the leading defender in conference in the category.

Giovinco (below) is a four-time Skyline weekly honoree (Off. POW: 1x; ROW: 3x) – the only freshman so honored on the spring. The top freshman scorer in Skyline in goals and points, and one of only four 50-goal scorers in the conference, he ranked 26th nationally in man-up goals (No. 2 in Skyline), 37th in PPG and 40th in GPG. His 10 CT in the riding game ranked fifth on the team.

Behind Stock and Giovinco, Chamberlain’s Rams won their first-ever conference championship, upending top-seeded Maritime, 12-11, to earn the Skyline's automatic qualification into the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship. The Rams will open their journey in the 2024 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship in first-round action on Wednesday afternoon, as they will play at St. Mary's College of Maryland in a 4 p.m. opening face-off.

Chamberlain (below) took over at FSC in September of 2014 and was named the 2016 Skyline Coach of the Year. Chamberlain has also had an impact on growing the game around the country. He serves on the Board of Directors for Team 91 Lacrosse, a nationally-recognized program that serves more than 5,500 athletes annually, as well as the National Lacrosse Federation. He is also the Co-President at Dynamic Sports Management. DSM is the country's premier provider of youth club teams, camps, clinics, team events, showcases and leagues. DSM has programs on Long Island and Tri-state area, as well as Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Virginia and serves more than 10,000 athletes and their families.

A 2007 Stony Brook alumnus, Chamberlain was a team captain as a senior and helped the Seawolves reach the America East title game all four years. A Holbrook native, he spent his senior year of high school at Indian Hills (Ohio), where he scored 50 times and set up 90 goals to guide the Braves to a state championship.

Long Island-native Paccione took over as the USMMA men's lacrosse head coach ahead of the 2022 season, replacing the legendary Tom Gill, who led the Mariners for the previous three decades.

In just two seasons, Paccione (below) led the Mariners to the 2023 Skyline Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAAs. Paccione came to Kings Point after spending 15 years running the offense at nearby St. John’s University. He spent his first eight seasons in Queens as the top assistant under head coach Jason Miller, before being elevated to associate head coach in 2014.

Paccione played lacrosse for the University of Massachusetts and graduated in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in sports management. He led the Minutemen to two ECAC Championships in 2001 and 2002, and the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2002. In 2002, Paccione also earned first team All-ECAC honors and the UMass offensive Most Valuable Player award when he recorded 34 goals and 13 assists for 47 points, and won 86-of-156 face-offs for a .548 winning percentage.

After graduating from UMass, Paccione played for the New York Saints of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). He was also selected by the Long Island Lizards as the 11th overall pick in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) draft. He played for the Lizards from 2002-03 and helped the team win the MLL Championship in 2003. In 2004, Paccione played for the Philadelphia Barrage, another squad that won the MLL Championship. The following season, Paccione suited up for the Lizards again, and the team advanced to the MLL Championship game.

The all-conference first team features four of Chamberlain’s and five of Paccione’s standouts as well as six other star student-athletes noted below. Fifteen are highlighted on the second team to complete the ’24 edition.
