NEW YORK | Talk about some 24 hours for this Valiant star.
Newly minted tournament Most Outstanding Player Bea Pretnar of 2023 champion Manhattanville can add another impressive accolade to her resume today as she headlines this edition of the Skyline Conference Women's Tennis All-Conference team.
She been named Player of the Year in voting conducted by the seven women's tennis head coaches. The honor comes hours after leading her team to a title.
Pretnar (below) finished the season a combined 9-1 in singles and 9-1 in doubles, lifting the third-seeded Valiants past previously unbeaten and top-seed St. Joseph's-Long Island in last night's championship finale in Patchogue. This is the first conference crown for Manhattanville in 17 years.

She joined six others on the First Team, including Valiant teammates and rookies Addison-Mercedes Ortiz and Suzi Doyle. The First Team also includes Skyline Rookie of the Year Natalie Kopala of the championship runner-up Golden Eagles. Farmingdale State's standout rookie Natalie Furchel and Sarah Lawrence's Simi Rao, last year's Co-Player of the Year, round out the First Team.
Rookie sensation Kopala (below) finished the regular season unbeaten in conference play and helped the Golden Eagles go a perfect 6-0 in the league standings. She concluded her breakout rookie campaign 8-4 in singles play.

Kopala's mentor, Robyn Romanoff (below), was tabbed as Coach of the Year in voting by her peers. This is her first Coach of the Year in the Skyline. She arrived at St. Joseph's-Long Island in 2019. She initially served as co-coach of the women's and men's teams before taking over as head coach of both in 2020. Romanoff served as assistant coach of the Dowling College men's team in 2014, one year after graduating as a member of the Dowling women's team. She served as captain of the team from 2011-13 and was the team's Rookie of the Year in 2010.

The Second Team features six participants, including Purchase standouts Sierra Blanco and Elaina Coppola, and four others from playoff participants in Yeshiva's Shira Adler, Farmingdale State's MacKenzie Gisler and Amanda Jones and Manhattanville's Keto Karkashadze.
