Luke Kruer, Merchant Marine

Kruer put together a historic week for the Mariners, batting an impressive .577 (15-for-26) across six games. He powered the USMMA offense to a 5-1 record, totaling 15 hits, 14 runs scored, and 16 RBI. The sophomore showcased elite power by blasting six home runs during the week, including five in four conference games over the weekend. He finished the week with a staggering 1.385 slugging percentage and a 1.992 OPS, while also stealing four bases. Kruer now leads the nation in batting average (.519).

Pitcher of the Week

TJ Cox, Farmingdale State 
Senior, RHP; Mineola, N.Y. / Mineola

Cox led the Rams during an undefeated 3-0 week, appearing in every victory to lock down a 0.93 ERA. The senior earned a win against NJAC powerhouse Rutgers-Camden with 4.2 innings of shutout, three-hit relief, and followed that up by recording saves in both ends of a conference doubleheader sweep against Mount Saint Mary. In total, Cox tossed 9.2 innings, scattering just nine hits while factoring into every decision for Farmingdale State.

Rookie of the Week

Dylan Payano, Maritime 
Freshman, Infield; Flushing, N.Y. / Archbishop Molloy

Payano put together a massive week for the Privateers, batting .407 (11-for-27) across seven games. He totaled 11 runs scored, nine RBI, and two home runs. His biggest performance came in a doubleheader sweep of Manhattanville, where he went 5-for-11, including a game-tying RBI double in the 8th inning and a go-ahead RBI single in the 10th of an 18-14 thriller. He added home runs in back-to-back games against USMMA to close out the week.

Chris Goohs, Manhattanville - Hit .556 with seven runs and five RBI. He reached the 100-career hit milestone and delivered a walk-off double against Mount Saint Mary
Chris Picarella, Maritime - Hit .414 with 10 RBI and two home runs. He delivered a walk-off single against Manhattanville and extended his hitting streak to 16 games
Brandon Reybok, Purchase - Reybok tossed a 7.0-inning complete game shutout in a 2-0 win over St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn
