NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference is proud to announce its 2025-26 Scholar-Athletes of the Year. One student-athlete from each conference-sponsored sport was selected in recognition of outstanding achievement in the classroom and in competition. Honorees were chosen through a nomination process conducted at the conclusion of the academic year, with selections based on cumulative grade-point average, academic accomplishments and athletic excellence.

"Our Scholar-Athletes of the Year exemplify the very best of what it means to be a Skyline Conference student-athlete," said Commissioner Melissa Reilly. "Their commitment to academic excellence, competitive success and leadership within their campus communities is truly commendable. We are proud to recognize these outstanding individuals for the dedication and discipline they have demonstrated both in the classroom and in their respective sports."

 

	Baseball Ritchie Heyder, Sr., Business Management, 3.81  Farmingdale State College Heyder batted .470 with 47 runs, 43 RBI, and a .608 on-base percentage, which led all players across all three NCAA divisions. The senior outfielder earned First Team All-America, Region 3 Player of the Year, Skyline Player of the Year, SUNY Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, and First Team Academic All-American
	Men's Basketball Kenny Rodriguez, Jr., Business Administration, 3.80 St. Joseph's - Long Island Rodriguez averaged 16.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from the field. The junior guard/forward earned First Team All-Skyline and All-Met Honorable Mention recognition.
	Women's Basketball Esther Ramos, Sr., Education, 3.949 Manhattanville University Ramos averaged a career-high 15.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 49.3 percent from the field. The senior forward earned First Team All-Skyline, D3hoops.com Second Team All-Region and MBWA All-Met Second Team honors and was named Manhattanville's Female Athlete of the Year. Ramos is also a three-time CSC Academic All-District selection.
	Men's Cross Country Silas Glynn, Sr., Marine Engineering Systems, 3.644 U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Glynn finished runner-up in both of his championship races while helping lead Merchant Marine to victories in both championship events. The senior earned All-ECAC and First Team All-Skyline honors.
	Women's Cross Country Perry Yun, Sr., Liberal Arts, 3.65 Sarah Lawrence College Yun paced Sarah Lawrence throughout the season and placed fourth at the Skyline Championship to earn First Team All-Skyline honors. The senior consistently finished among the top Skyline runners throughout the year. Yun earned Skyline Academic Honor Roll recognition and graduated as a member of Sarah Lawrence's Chi Alpha Sigma chapter.
	Men's Golf Luke O'Grady-Rodgers, Jr., Business Management, 3.83 Farmingdale State College O'Grady-Rodgers posted a 75.08 scoring average across 25 rounds, the ninth-best single-season mark in Farmingdale State history, while recording four top-five finishes. The junior earned GCAA All-Region and First Team All-Skyline honors and was named the SUNY Scholar-Athlete of the Year in men's golf.
	Men's Lacrosse Kenny Leen, Sr., Secondary Education, 3.887 Mount Saint Mary College Leen recorded 234 saves with a .586 save percentage and 10.99 goals-against average, while setting Mount Saint Mary's single-game and career saves records. The senior goalkeeper earned First Team All-Skyline honors and was named a USILA Scholar All-American while participating in the USILA Senior All-Star Game. Leen is also a member of Chi Alpha Sigma and Phi Alpha Theta honor societies.
	Women's Lacrosse Makenna Reekie, Sr., Psychology, 3.92  University of Mount Saint Vincent Reekie recorded 139 saves with a .531 save percentage while starting 12 games in goal for Mount Saint Vincent. The senior goalkeeper posted a 10.25 goals-against average across 720 minutes of action and was named First-Team All-Conference.
	Men's Soccer Marco Mazzarelli, Sr., Biology, 3.891 Mount Saint Mary College Mazzarelli recorded four goals and four assists for 12 points while starting all 26 matches for Mount Saint Mary. The senior forward earned First Team All-Skyline, Second Team All-ECAC and CSC Academic All-District honors. Mazzarelli graduated 12th in his class Summa Cum Laude and earned recognition on the Skyline Academic Honor Roll and Dean's List.
	Women's Soccer Jenna Ruffini, Sr., Child Study, 3.978 St. Joseph's - Long Island Ruffini anchored the St. Joseph's-Long Island defense, guiding the Golden Eagles to capture the 2025 Skyline Championship. The senior defender led a conference-best back line that held opposing teams to just 12 goals on the season, earning First Team All-Skyline honors.
	Softball Madison DeMaio, Jr., Applied Psychology, 4.0  Farmingdale State College DeMaio posted a 3.04 ERA with 112 strikeouts over 165.2 innings in the circle, including a 1.76 ERA in Skyline play. The junior pitcher earned NFCA Third Team All-Region honors and was named First Team All-Skyline for the second straight season.
	Men's Swimming and Diving Teague Mayer, Sr., Maritime Logistics & Security, 3.658 U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Mayer earned multiple First Team All-Skyline honors after capturing individual titles during the championship season. The senior also achieved an NCAA B-cut individually and as part of a relay.
	Women's Swimming and Diving Stephanie Sommer, Sr., Adolescence Education, 4.0 Mount Saint Mary College Sommer earned First Team All-Skyline honors in the 200-yard medley relay and Second Team recognition in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The senior was also the recipient of the Skyline Elite 19 Award and is a member of multiple honor societies, including Chi Alpha Sigma and Kappa Delta Pi.
	Men's Tennis Thomas Jouanneau, Gr., Sport Business Management, 3.608 Manhattanville University Jouanneau posted a 12-7 singles record and went undefeated in Skyline play at 6-0, while adding a 15-5 doubles record, including a 7-0 mark against conference opponents. The graduate student was named Skyline Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Skyline honors.
	Women's Tennis Adrianna Filippelli, So., Sport Studies & Occupational Therapy, 3.966 Manhattanville University Filippelli posted a 9-3 singles record and 12-1 doubles mark, going a perfect 6-0 in Skyline play in both singles and doubles. The sophomore was named Skyline Player of the Year, earned First Team All-Skyline honors, a two-time Skyline Academic Honor Roll selection, and was selected CSC Academic All-District.
	Men's Outdoor Track and Field Holden Collier, So., Maritime Logistics & Security, 3.651 U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Collier earned First Team All-Skyline honors as a member of both the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relay teams. The sophomore helped the 4x100-meter relay set a new Merchant Marine Academy record.
	Women's Outdoor Track and Field Olivia Finnegan, Sr., Sport Management, 3.82  Farmingdale State College Finnegan scored a championship-record 68 points to help Farmingdale State capture the 2026 Skyline title. The senior was named Skyline Field Athlete of the Year for the second time in her career.
	Men's Volleyball AJ Esposito, Jr., Business Administration, 3.875 St. Joseph's - Long Island Esposito totaled 141 kills with a .456 hitting percentage while adding 48 blocks across 53 sets. The junior middle blocker was named the 2026 Skyline Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Skyline honors.
	Women's Volleyball Sarah Rende, Jr., Science, Technology and Society, 4.0  Farmingdale State College Rende totaled 744 assists and 231 digs while averaging 8.65 assists per set, and became just the second player in program history to surpass 2,000 career assists. The junior setter earned First Team All-Skyline, CSC Academic All-District and her second Skyline Elite 19 Award.
