Player of the Week

Ritchie Heyder, Farmingdale St.
Senior, Outfield; Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East


Heyder delivered a dominant week at the plate to lead the Rams to a 4-1 record. The junior posted a staggering .667/.933/.750 (10-for-15), reaching base safely in 15 of his 20 plate appearances while scoring eight runs and collecting four doubles with two RBI. He recorded multiple hits in four of five games, highlighted by a 3-for-5 performance with a double against Coe and a 2-for-2 outing with three runs, two RBI, two walks, and a double in a win over Lesley.

Riley Morris, St. Joseph’s - Long Island
Junior, Pitcher; Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches


Morris turned in a dominant complete-game performance to lead the Golden Eagles to a conference victory. The right-hander tossed 7.0 innings, allowing just two hits with two strikeouts and no earned runs.

Christian Pellegrino, Farmingdale St. 
Senior, Pitcher; Carle Place, N.Y./Carle Place


Pellegrino had a two-outing week for the Rams, going 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA across 8.0 innings. The senior right-hander struck out 12 batters while allowing just two hits and holding opponents to a .077 batting average. He highlighted his week with a five-inning, nine-strikeout performance in a win over Lesley

Rookie of the Week

Guytano Kiesel, Maritime
Freshman, Catcher; Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point


Kiesel was 4-for-9 with three extra-base hits, seven RBIs and five runs scored in the Privateers’ conference opening weekend. He belted two home runs and a double finishing with six RBIs and three runs scored in game two of the doubleheader sweep against Mount St. Vincent on Saturday. The freshman went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in the first game.

Honorable Mention
Alex Bardi, Maritime - Hit .500 (7-for-14) with nine RBI and six runs scored across a 3-0 week for the Privateers, adding three extra-base hits. He highlighted the week by tying a program record with seven RBI in a win over John Jay
Luke Kruer, Merchant Marine - Hit .563 (9-for-16) with seven runs scored and seven RBI across five games, adding two doubles, four stolen bases, and a .688 slugging percentage. He recorded an RBI in all five contests, highlighted by a three-RBI performance against Lasell
Griffin White, Manhattanville - Hit .667 (8-for-12) with eight RBI and four runs scored over three games, including a breakout performance against Yeshiva where he went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and four RBI
