MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY WEEKLY AWARDS - SEPTEMBER 22

Runner of the Week
 
Luke Zweisler, USMMA
Senior; Colbert, Wash./Mt. Spokane


Zwiesler earned his second Runner of the Week distinction after pacing the Mariners its second consecutive meet at the Fred Pavlich Invitational (Red). The senior finished second overall with a time of 27:01.3, leading the Blue and Gray to 34 team points and an eight-point edge over runner-up New Paltz.

Rookie of the Week
 
Cooper Johnson, USMMA
Freshman; Honolulu, Hawaii/Radford


Johnson earns his second Rookie of the Week honor, finishing seventh with a time of 28:13.9 to help the Mariners capture their second straight victory at the Fred Pavlich Invitational (Red). His performance helped the Blue and Gray to 34 team points, edging out runner-up New Paltz by eight.

Honorable Mention
Ryan Steinberg, St. Joseph’s-Long Island – Paced the Golden Eagles with a fourth-place finish in 29:44.9 at the Fred Pavlich Invitational (White), helping SJLI earn the team title  
Alexander Carbo, Purchase –
Led the Panthers at the Bard College 8K Invitational (White), placing 13th overall out of 66 runners with a time of 31:13.7
