Corey Popowcer, Manhattanville
Senior; Parkland, Fla./Marjorie Stoneman Douglas

Popowcer turned in a stellar week for the Valiants, earning a pair of top-10 finishes, highlighted by capturing medalist honors at the St. Joseph’s-Long Island Invitational. The senior shot a career-best round of 72 (+1) at the Bellport Golf Club to win the individual crown and added a ninth-place finish earlier in the week at the Purchase Invitational.

Rookie of the Week

Israel Bromberg, Yeshiva
Freshman; New Milford, N.J./TABC

Bromberg impressed in his collegiate debut, winning medalist honors at the Purchase College Invitational with a round of 79. His performance also helped lead the Macs to a runner-up team finish against five conference opponents.

Ruslan Makarenko, Mount Saint Mary – Placed third with a round of 78 (+8) in the Knights’ one-stroke win over Albertus Magnus, after helping MSMC capture the team title at the Purchase Invitational earlier in the week
CJ Merritt, Farmingdale State – Carded a 36-hole score of 152 (+10) at Middlebury’s Duke Nelson Invitational, highlighted by a final-round 75 (+4)
