FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the 64-team field for the 2025 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship, and Farmingdale State College will travel to Baltimore, Maryland to compete in a regional hosted by No. 1-ranked Johns Hopkins University.
The four-team regional also features Rutgers-Camden and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), with games scheduled from Friday, May 16th through Sunday, May 18th. The Rams open the double-elimination regional against the host Blue Jays (39-3) on Friday at 11:00 a.m., followed by Rutgers-Camden taking on RPI at 2:30 p.m.
Farmingdale State earned their spot in the NCAA Championship after a run through the Skyline Conference Championship. The Rams defeated Manhattanville in the opening round, then earned a victory over St. Joseph's-Long Island. After falling to Merchant Marine in the winners bracket, the Rams responded with three straight elimination-game victories to claim the conference title.
Top-ranked Johns Hopkins (39-3) earned an automatic bid after winning the programs 19
th Centennial Conference Tournament. They are currently riding a 21-game winning streak, including a convincing 14-4 victory in their conference championship game.
Rutgers-Camden (29-15) captured the program's first-ever NJAC Championship as the sixth seed. They won all four of their playoff games, defeating Kean, Montclair State, Rowan and TCNJ to earn their trip to the NCAA Championship.
RPI (29-14) won its first Liberty League Championship since 2015, capping the run with a 4-1 win over Ithaca. The Engineers fell in their first playoff game before tallying four consecutive wins to earn the title.
The regional winner will advance to the NCAA Super Regionals, a best-of-three series held May 23-24. Stay tuned to the Farmingdale State
