Winston (above) stepped up and was a main contributor to the Mariners' two home victories, a 75-69 win over Coast Guard and 68-65 thriller in overtime over Mount St. Mary ... The senior led the squad with 20.5 points per game and dished out a team-best seven assists over the two contests ... Against the then-11-1 Bears, Winston drained a season-best 22 points to lead all players ... She followed that up by tying for the game-high of 19 points in the exciting overtime victory over the Knights.
Taylor Malone, Manhattanville
Sophomore, Guard; Yonkers, N.Y./Kennedy Catholic
Malone (above) led the Valiants in their record-setting 110-point output in a win over Old Westbury with a career-high 25 points ... Malone shot .714 from the floor and went 5 for 8 from deep ... The effort was just the second time in her career she reached double figures ... She added three rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals in the win.
Rookie of the Week
Carolae Barton, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
Freshman, Foward; Waldorf, Md./St. John's College
Barton (above) continues to be a double-double machine for the Mariners, as she picked up two more in their two home victories ... The rookie scored 18 points and brought down a career-best 21 rebounds to go along with three assists and two blocks against Coast Guard ... She followed that up by tying for the game-high with 19 points on 75 percent shooting with 14 boards, five steals and three blocks against MSMC.

Manhattanville freshman guard Madison Carlo was heavily featured in the Valiants' victory against Old Westbury with a season-high 22 points, shooting 64 percent (9 of 14) from the floor; she connected on 4-for-8 shots from deep to set a new personal best, and added a pair of steals, two assists and a board in the game against the Panthers ... St. Joseph's-Long Island freshman forward Madelyn Barone finished with 21 total points on the week, averaging 10.5 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Golden Eagles; she went 9 of 15 from the field, shooting 60 percent, adding three boards, two blocks and a steal.
