The junior posted an. 882 slugging percentage with a .545 on-base percentage and totaled eight RBI and six runs scored for St. Joseph’s-Long Island … In the conference-clinching win over Mount Saint Vincent, he went 5 for 6 with two home runs, three runs scored, and a career-high six RBI … This is his first Skyline Player of the Week award this season as the top-seeded Golden Eagles open the 2023 Skyline Baseball Championship as the No. 1 seed.
Nick Papageorge, Old Westbury

Papageorge hit .529 through six games for Old Westbury, leading the Panthers to a 5-1 week … He had nine hits with 10 RBI, including two doubles and two home runs on his way to his first Skyline Player of the Week nod this season … He smashed two three-run home runs in each game of the doubleheader against Farmingdale, lifting Old Westbury to a pair of conference wins … In the process, Papageorge helped the Panthers clinch a playoff berth.

Justin Doskoez, Purchase

Doskoez (above) earned a pair of wins in two relief appearances on his way to his first Skyline Pitcher of the Week honor … The first came after he tossed 3 1/3 innings, striking out three and allowing no runs on six hits against Manhattanville … Four days later, he came in during the second inning of a must-win game and pitched 7 1/3 innings at Farmingdale, helping to lead the Panthers to a win that clinched the team's first playoff birth since 2014 … During the game, Doskoez allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits, while striking out two.
Rookie of the Week
Patrick Reyes, Purchase
Freshman, Outfielder; Plainedge, N.Y./Plainedge
Reyes (below) went 17 for 33 with 14 RBI, four doubles, one home run, 10 runs, two walks and nine stolen bases on 10 attempts over eight games … Purchase went 5-3 in those games to clinch a playoff berth … This is the first Skyline Rookie of the Week award for Reyes.
