NEW YORK I The four-team, 2023 Skyline Conference Men's Volleyball Championship will get underway next week, comprising St. Joseph’s-Long Island, Ramapo, New Jersey City and Mount Saint Vincent.
The field is set for the championship, which begins on Thursday, April 13, with the top-two seeds holding serve on their respective home courts to advance to the championship final Saturday, April 15.
For the third straight year, top-seeded St. Joseph's-Long Island enters the postseason unbeaten. The Golden Eagles won the regular season title with a 3-0 sweep of Mount Saint Vincent yesterday, finishing 14-0 to earn the No. 1 seed in the single-elimination tournament. It will be a quick rematch for the two teams. The defending champion Golden Eagles will host No. 4 Mount Saint Vincent, which finished the season 8-6, at 7 p.m. Thursday night.
The other semifinal round matchup pits No. 2 Ramapo against No. 3 New Jersey City. The Roadrunners finished the regular season at 12-2, while NJCU went 10-4. That match is set for a 7:30 p.m. start.
The winners will meet on Saturday at the home of the higher seed. The champion will earn the Skyline’s automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball Championship.
