Pierre (above) started all four games for the Dolphins, who jumped out of the gate and rolled to 4-0 … He went a combined 7 for 11 against John Jay and City College of New York, with four home runs, 13 RBI and five walks, including a game-winning ninth inning grand slam against CCNY.

Morabito (above) made two appearances, totaling eight innings on the bump ... He tossed one shutout inning, allowing just two hits in a win over the University of Mary Washington in Myrtle Beach, S.C. ... Morabito followed that with a seven-inning start, in which he allowed just one run on six hits with one strikeout to earn his first win of the season against No. 19 ranked Ithaca College.
 
Rookie of the Week

The newcomer went 10 for 20 in four starts against John Jay and CCNY … DiNorcia (below) belted three home runs and collected seven RBI, a walk and a stolen base in the four victories.

Manhattanville sophomore first baseman Joseph McDonald hit .636 across the Valiants’ first three games of the season, logging seven base hits including one double … U.S. Merchant Marine Academy sophomore infielder Jack Millen batted a team-best .500 (4 for 8) with a team-leading .556 OBP in two games against No. 19 Ithaca … Maritime junior infielder Nick Pinggera hit a combined .467 during the Privateers’ five-game Florida trip, including going 3 for 3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Houghton … Farmingdale State junior outfielder Daniel Deutsch went 3 for 4 over a doubleheader in his debut with one stolen base in the Rams’ season-opening split against Scranton … St. Joseph’s-Long Island third baseman James Maggio hit .500 over three games, going 6 for 12 with a home run … Manhattanville junior pitcher Chris Antonelli made his Valiant debut, leading the ball club to a doubleheader sweep against Penn State Berks with his start in Game 2, where he allowed three runs across six innings, giving up five hits while striking out nine … Maritime grad student pitcher Shane Sullivan earned his first win of the season as the Privateers began their Florida trip with a 7-2 victory over Houghton; he allowed just one run on four hits over six innings, striking out six and walking two … Maritime freshman infielder Christian Ark batted .750 in four games during the Privateers' Florida trip, crushing the go-ahead three-run double in the fourth inning of the team’s 9-2 victory over Houghton … Purchase freshman first baseman Liam Daly went 2 for 6 with two homers, four RBI and two runs over a pair of games; his first home run was an inside-the-park solo shot in his first collegiate at-bat, while his second – a three-run dinger to center – put Purchase ahead 5-3, in a game they won, 6-5 … Farmingdale State freshman pitcher Michael Camardi tossed five scoreless innings in relief to earn a combined shutout in the program’s 1-0 nine-inning win over Scranton; he retired the last eight hitters he faced, started by a pair of strikeouts to work out of a one-out, bases-loaded jam in the top of the seventh on his way to throwing 41 of his 58 pitches for strikes.
