NEW YORK | Farmingdale State headlines the 2023 edition of the Skyline Conference Men's Soccer All-Conference Team.
In voting conducted by the league's 12 head coaches, the Rams boast six first-team selections, the Offensive Player of the Year, the Defensive Player of the Year and the Coach of the Year, with Anthony Bileddo (below) taking home top offensive honors, Justin Silva locking up the best defender award and bench boss Chuck Schimpf named as the finest of the mentors in the league for a second straight year. Purchase's Ermin Mackic, the conference's leading scorer, garners Rookie of the Year honors.

Bileddo, a one-time Offensive Player of the Week this fall, moved into the No. 9 striker roll one-third of the way through the season, registering team-highs with 12 goals, 29 points, 60 shots (35 on target), while tying for third with five assists. He tied for most goals scored in Skyline play (seven) during the regular season, with other rankings including conference-only points (2nd, 18), and overall shots on target (3rd), goals (2nd), points (2nd) and assists (7th). He entered the postseason ranked 30th in the NCAA for goals, points and goals per game.
With Bileddo manning the offensive, Silva (below) anchored the defense for the Rams. He won the final two Defensive Player of the Week awards after backstopping the FSC defense to a conference-best seven goals conceded in Skyline play, and 17 overall. The netminder posted the best goals-against average in conference competition (.641), while sporting a 1.02 GAA overall. To boot, Silva had a hand in all seven of the Rams' shutouts this year during the regular season, including five in conference play and four solo efforts going the full 90 minutes. Silva also made history along the way. He entered conference tourney play with the FSC career shutouts record (23).

Chuck Schimpf, who just completed his 21st season at Farmingdale State, has been named Coach of the Year by his peers for a second consecutive year after winning for the first time in 2022. The runner-up Rams finished their 2023 campaign with an 11-4-4 overall record. FSC's .684 winning percentage this year marks the highest for a single-season in school history.
As for the race for the league's top rookie, Mackic (below) burst onto the scene for Purchase. He led the conference in goals and assists and was a one-man show for the Panthers, notching 18 goals and 14 assists. Along the way, he was named Offensive Player of the Week twice and league Rookie of the Week once.
The Skyline First Team features a league-best six Rams. Mount Saint Vincent follows with three selections on the First Team, while St. Joseph's-Brooklyn has two players on the top squad, including last year's Offensive Player of the Year in Victor Naci. Manhattanville, who defeated FSC in the championship, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Yeshiva and Purchase have one selection apiece to round out the First Team. The Second Team features a league-leading four from USMMA and is also highlighted by three from conference champ and top seed Manhattanville, including its keeper, tournament Most Outstanding Player Luis Granados.
