Earns his third Player of the Week honor...hit home runs in both games of the doubleheader against Mount Saint Vincent on Friday...also recorded a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning of Game One that gave Maritime an insurance tally in an eventual 5-2 victory...belted a solo blast, his league-leading sixth of the season, in the eighth inning of Game Two...went 3-for-6 with two homers, three runs scored, and three RBI in the twinbill.

Had a career day on the mound against Skyline-leading St. Joseph's-Long Island...tossed his first collegiate complete game win, striking out a career-high nine in a seven-inning 3-1 victory, holding the league-leaders in hitting to just four hits.

Rookie of the Week

Started Game Two of the Mariners' Skyline doubleheader sweep of Purchase on Saturday and threw seven shutout innings, striking out five, and surrendering four hits for the win to improve to 3-2 on the season...over his last two starts he has a 0.57 ERA in 15.2 innings pitched.

Honor Roll

Travis Leatherwood went 7-for-11 with four RBI and two runs scored in three home wins this past week for USMMA...Brian Bornkamp of Manhattanville hit .706 (12-for-17), scored 10 runs, and drove in seven in four non-conference games this past week...he also had a career-high five RBI in Game Two of Saturday's sweep of CCNY..St. Joseph’s-Long Island’s John Lynch hit .429 with one RBI and a run scored in a split with St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn...Erik Zimmerman of Mount Saint Vincent had 10 hits in 16 at-bats, including going 5-for-5 in a non-conference game against Drew...Coleman Barnes drove in five runs in Mount St. Mary’s win over Old Westbury on Saturday...in the other game of that doubleheader, Jamal Ritter of Old Westbury went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored in the Panthers’ win...Sean Kennedy of Mount Saint Vincent threw a nine inning complete game on Friday in a win over Maritime, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out six...USMMA’s Tyler Reistetter brought a no-hitter into the sixth inning as part of his complete game shutout victory over Purchase on Saturday...he finished the day with six strikeouts while giving up just one hit....offensively, as a DH/RF, he hit .571 with a triple, two RBI, and one run scored while also stealing two bases...Maritime’s Matthew Demme came on in the fifth inning against CMSV with a runner on third and Maritime trailing 2-1 and proceeded to strike out the first two batters he faced to end the threat and eventually earn the win, pitching the final 2.2 innings, allowing just two hits and no runs while notching four strikeouts and not issuing a walk.
