Rookie of the Week

Earned complete game victories against Manhattanville and Merchant Marine, both after Maritime lost game one of the doubleheader...yielded just three runs (two earned) and six hits while striking out six over nine innings at Manhattanville...threw just 67 pitches in a seven-inning complete game against Merchant Marine on Sunday, holding the Mariners to two unearned runs on four hits (one after the first inning), and retiring the last 10 batters he faced...struck out five and didn't issue a walk for the second straight game...earns his second Rookie of the Week honor.

Old Westbury’s Shaun Kaminski hit .632 (12-for-19) in six games, including two doubles, a triple, and seven runs scored...Max Leibowitz of Yeshiva hit .615 for the week, including going  4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, while scoring a run and stealing a base against Maritime on Friday....Mount Saint Vincent’s Jake Blinstrub hit .611 (11-for-18), recorded eight RBI, five runs score, two doubles, one triple, three walks, and stole two bases in five games...Anthony Hernandez ?of St. Joseph's-Brooklyn had a solid week in compiling a .467 average (7-of-15) with two RBI, a run scored, and four extra base hits...Stephen Clancy of Farmingdale finished the week 1-0 with a save, 14 strikeouts, and 2.25 ERA...Manhattanville’s Alby Ciuffetelli threw a seven-inning complete game against Mount Saint Mary, needing just 71 pitches to earn his first win of the season...St. Joseph’s-Long Island’s Charles Aurandt tossed a complete-game shutout allowing just two hits while striking out three against Farmingdale...Christian Homa of Purchase went 6-for-11 with two doubles, a triple, six RBI, three walks, and three stolen bases in three wins.
