NEW YORK | The seven Skyline Conference head women's tennis coaches have cast their votes for the 2020-21 edition of the all-conference team, and Manhattanville junior Renay Charley and freshman Bea Pretnar have earned Player and Rookie of the Year accolades, respectively.
Additionally, 14th-year Farmingdale State College mentor Adam Waterhouse was selected as Coach of the Year in voting by his peers.
Charley (Redondo Beach, Calif.) won all six of her outings as the top-flight singles player for head coach Derek DiFazio's Valiants, and teamed with Pretnar for a 5-1 record in the top doubles flight.
Pretnar, a native of Mohegan Lake, N.Y., accumulated a sterling 5-1 mark in No. 2 singles action.
Waterhouse just wrapped up his 14th season coaching both the Rams' tennis programs, and guided both to Skyline crowns this spring. The Oswego State alumnus owns a 106-68 record in men's dual-match play, along with a 134-64 mark on the women's side. Prior to this spring, Waterhouse garnered eight Coach of the Year citations combined from his Skyline Conference peers: 2008-09 (men), 2010-11 (men), 2011-12 (men), 2012-13 (women & men), 2015-16 (women), 2018-19 (men), and 2019-20 (women).
