Melissa Reilly was named the Skyline Conference commissioner in May 2023, with her official appointment beginning on July 1, 2023.
She replaced longtime commissioner Linda Bruno, and joined the Skyline after her second tenure at the East Coast Conference where she was named senior associate commissioner.
Reilly rejoined the ECC in 2015 after a nearly three-year stint as the associate athletic director and SWA at conference member, NYIT. During her tenure she oversaw 12 intercollegiate Division I and II athletic teams by serving as the direct supervisor for coaches. In addition, she managed the department's business operations, helping to secure an additional $200,000 for the athletic operating budget and also supervised the department's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Prior to her time at NYIT, Reilly spent four years working for the ECC in multiple positions. She started as the director of media relations before being promoted to assistant commissioner.
Previously, Reilly also spent time as a special events assistant at the American Heart Association and as the Director of Athletic Communications at Dowling College.
A graduate of Ithaca College with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Reilly also obtained her master's degree in public administration from Dowling. Reilly currently reside in Oakdale, N.Y. with her husband, Ryan, sons, Ryan Joseph and Logan, and daughter, Shaylin Marie.
