NEW YORK | After capturing its sixth consecutive Skyline Conference Golf Championship last fall, Farmingdale State has been selected as the favorite to repeat in 2026, earning the top spot in the Skyline Conference Golf Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Rams collected 49 points and seven first-place votes in balloting conducted by the league's eight head coaches.

Farmingdale State continued its dominance of the conference in 2025, winning the Skyline Championship by 17 strokes. The Rams featured three golfers on the All-Conference First Team and saw Luke O'Grady-Rodgers earn Skyline Golfer of the Year honors while head coach Ryan Williams was named Coach of the Year.

St. Joseph's-Long Island, which finished as the 2025 Skyline runner-up, was selected second with 36 points, while Mount Saint Mary received the remaining first-place vote and placed third with 35 points after recording its highest championship finish in program history.

Yeshiva earned the No. 4 spot with 29 points, followed by Manhattanville University (25 points) and Old Westbury (24 points), as just five points separated the fourth through sixth positions. Purchase collected 15 points to place seventh, while Mount Saint Vincent rounded out the preseason rankings with 11 points.

The 2026 Skyline Conference Golf Championship, hosted by Mount Saint Mary College at The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge, is scheduled for October 18-19.
