NEW YORK | After capturing its first Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship since 2012, St. Joseph's-Long Island has been selected as the favorite to repeat in 2026, earning the top spot in the Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll with 111 points and five first-place votes.
The Golden Eagles authored a memorable postseason run in 2025, defeating previously unbeaten and top-seeded Mount Saint Vincent, 2-1, in the Skyline Championship final to secure the conference title. Sophomore Jack Pulisic scored both goals in the championship match and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player as St. Joseph's claimed its first conference crown in 13 years.
Mount Saint Vincent, which finished the regular season unbeaten in conference play before advancing to the Skyline Championship final, was selected second with 110 points and four first-place votes. United States Merchant Marine Academy received 105 points and two first-place votes to claim the No. 3 spot after another strong postseason appearance.
Manhattanville University was picked fourth with 91 points and one first-place vote, while Farmingdale State rounded out the top five with 85 points. Maritime (64 points), Mount Saint Mary (59), Old Westbury (52), and Purchase (48) completed the preseason rankings.
The 2026 Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship is scheduled to begin November 1.
