Higher Seeds Advance on Quarterfinal Tuesday

No. 1 Farmingdale State to Host No. 4 Maritime; No. 2 Sarah Lawrence to Host No. 3 Yeshiva Thursday

NEW YORK I All four of the higher seeds held on to advance in the Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Championship Tuesday night. 

No. 2 Sarah Lawrence rallied for a 79-68 win over No. 2 Mount Saint Vincent. Lemar Fulmore, Jr. paced the Gryphons with 22 points, one of five in double figures. Newly minted Skyline Player of the Year, Zevi Samet (above), of Yeshiva dropped 30 points in a victory over No. 6 Purchase. The Macs won 88-59 as Samet was also one of five in double figures. 

In other quarterfinal action, No. 4 Maritime delivered an 80-58 final against No. 5 St. Joseph's-Long Island, while No. 1 Farmingdale State took a step toward its quest for a three-peat with an 87-64 victory against U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Michael Notias had 29 points to pace the Rams. Skyline Rookie of the Year Jake Devaney netted 28 to lift the Privateers to the semifinals. 

Now, YU will travel to SLC Thursday night at 7 p.m. for a semifinal matchup. FSC will welcome Maritime at 7 for the other semi, with a championship berth on the line.
