Sammons (below) won the 200-meter race with a time of 27.85 seconds at the Queens College Season Opener … She took third place in the 100-meter dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 13.62 seconds.

Farmingdale State senior Alycia Haynes tallied 27th in the 1500m (5:24.92) at the 33-team Silfen Invitational … Mount Saint Mary sophomore Emily Schneider finished in the top 10 in the hammer at RPI … Farmingdale State freshman Treesha Jayakody recorded 19th in the triple jump (8.90m - 29' 2.5") and 33rd in the long jump (3.77m - 12' 4.5") at the Silfen Invitational.
