Hernan (above) helped the Gryphons earn another dual meet victory, winning the 50 Backstroke and the 100 Backstroke before swimming in the 200 Freestyle Relay, where the Gryphons led the field by over 20 seconds. 

Diver of the Week 

Victoria Crofford, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy                                                          
Freshman; Fairfax, Va./St. Paul VI 

Crofford (above) won both the one-meter and three-meter diving events at the Mariners' narrow home dual-meet loss to Stevens ... She scored 127.20 in the one-meter event and 123.52 in the three-meter discipline. 

Rookie of the Week  

Julia Maecker, Sarah Lawrence                                                                                
Freshman; Palo Alto, California/Henry M. Gunn

Maecker (below) had two more individual victories, touching the wall first in the 100 Breaststroke and 100 IM ... She also swam the third leg of SLC's winning 200 Medley Relay that kicked off the meet with a victory for the Gryphons.  

Honor Roll 

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy freshman Megan Hu won both of her individual events in a home dual-meet against Stevens, touching first in the 100 Butterfly in 1:01.41 and the 100 Breaststroke in 1:08.86; both times were season-bests, and she was also the third leg of the 200 Medley Relay that started off the meet with at time of 1:54.95 ... U.S. Merchant Marine Academy freshman Georgia Magditch swam a 2:22.58 in the 200 Individual Medley and 1:04.94 in the 100 Backstroke in the Mariners' home dual-meet loss to Stevens; she was also the first leg of the 200 Medley Relay that touched in 1:54.95 to start the meet.
