Kazos (above) posted two more double-doubles in Skyline play, leading the Gryphons offensively in the team’s battle against USMMA and putting up 17 kills and 19 digs in a win over Mount Saint Mary … Kazos totaled 28 kills and 32 digs on the week.
Jackie Wolf, St. Joseph's-Long Island
Senior, Outside Hitter; Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park
Wolf (above) led the Golden Eagles with 23 kills, averaging 3.83 kills per set, in a 2-0 week for the team … The outside hitter added a team-best six aces and 17 digs, 2.83 digs per set … She finished with 10 kills, eight digs and a pair of aces in a 3-0 sweep of Farmingdale State before turning in 13 kills, nine digs, and four aces in a sweep of UMSV.
Libero of the Week
Stephanie Schatzman, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
Junior; Virginia Beach, Va./Floyd E. Kellam
Schatzman (above) recorded a team-best 4.67 digs per set over the Mariners' three sweeps … The junior also added five service aces to garner her fourth Skyline Libero of the Week award this season.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Maddie Mayer, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
Freshman, Middle Blocker; Centennial, Colo./Grandview
Mayer (below) continues to put up sterling numbers for a middle blocker, as she put down 2.22 kills per set on .333 hitting to go along with 11 blocks and seven service aces in the Mariners' three sweeps – on the road at Sarah Lawrence, and then home against Baruch and Old Westbury … The newcomer led all players with eight kills against the Bearcats.
Sydney Douglas, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
Freshman, Outside Hitter; Herndon, Va./Virginia Academy
Douglas (below) led the Mariners with 2.56 kills per set and a .400 hitting percentage to go along with 2.89 digs per set, seven blocks and four service aces in the team’s three sweeps to share the honor with her teammate.

Jonaiya Williams had 19 kills, one ace, 10 digs, one block assist, 20.5 points in a 3-0 win against St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn and 12 kills, 22 digs, 12.0 points against Sarah Lawerence … St. Joseph’s-Long Island senior libero
Sarah Montefusco turned in a team-best 38 digs, averaging 6.33 digs per set, in a 2-0 week for the Golden Eagles; she posted a 1.000 reception percentage, finishing 28 for 28, adding seven assists and an ace as the libero recorded a match-high 19 digs in both sweeps of Farmingdale State and UMSV … Sarah Lawerence freshman outside hitter
Nikolet Vataj continued her impressive first-year campaign with a 20-kill and 19-dig effort in the Gryphons’ win over Mount Saint Mary; in two matches, she totaled 27 kills, 27 digs and a trio of service aces, helping the Gryphons to remain in the hunt for a top-four seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
