NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's head women's cross country coaches have cast their ballots for the 2022 edition of the preseason coaches poll, selecting two favorites, with United States Merchant Marine Academy and Maritime atop the ledger. 

Maritime and USMMA finished second and third, respectively in last fall’s championships. Last season’s champion, St. Joseph’s-Long Island, has been selected fifth in the preseason poll behind Farmingdale State and Mount Saint Mary, respectively.
 
Manhattanville and Purchase follow in the rankings before a three-way tie for eighth among Mount Saint Vincent, Old Westbury and Yeshiva. 

The 2022 Skyline Conference Cross Country Championships are slated for Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y. The championships will be hosted by MSMC.
