Perennial Favorite FSC Tops Women’s Soccer Poll

NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's head women's soccer coaches have cast their ballots in the 2022 preseason coaches poll, and defending champion Farmingdale State College is the choice to finish atop the conference again this fall.

2021 conference championship Most Outstanding Player Julissa Martinez returns to lead FSC in search of their sixth-straight league title (and 14th overall). The team the Rams defeated last fall, Mount Saint Mary, comes in second in the preseason poll voting followed by Manhattanville.

Mount Saint Vincent, St. Joseph’s-Long Island and Sarah Lawrence are the projected playoff teams, with Maritime, Purchase, Old Westbury and St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn rounding out the top 10.  

The six-team 2022 Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Championship will take place at home sites, with first-round action kicking off on Saturday, Oct. 29. Semifinals play will commence on Nov. 2, with the championship final set to get underway on Nov. 5 – with the winner earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.
