NEW YORK | St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) Director of Athletics Melody Cope announced today the appointment of AJ Uhl as the new men's basketball head coach.
"I am honored and humbled to serve as the next Head Men's Basketball Coach at St. Joseph's University. I'd like to thank Mel Cope and the rest of the search committee for the extraordinary opportunity," stated Uhl. "I'm excited to immerse myself in the Golden Eagle community, build on the strong foundation that is in place, and for the chance to support our student-athletes throughout their college experience."
Uhl arrives in Patchogue after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Waynesburg University where he was responsible for all recruiting of prospective student-athletes. During his tenure, the Yellow Jackets posted its best season since 2015 while reaching the PAC Tournament Semifinals.
