Running in his program's own home invite, Lopez (above) finished second in the men's 8K race with a time of 27:58.08 in the SJNY Invitational … He was the best NCAA Division II or III runner as the Golden Eagles finished second of 20 teams … For Lopez, who garnered an honor roll mention last week, this is his first Runner of the Week honor this fall.

Royston (above) collects his second Rookie of the Week honor this fall after clocking 8K time of 28:37.4 at the SJNY Invitational … He finished sixth out of 139 runners in the event.

Farmingdale State senior Matthew Calogianes placed sixth (fourth among Div. III runners) at the SJNY Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park, completing the course in a time of 28:26.91 … Maritime junior Jake Mundok let the Privateers at the Rowan Interregional Border Battle, running the 8K in 28:53.2 to place 178th overall out of more than 300 competitors.
