NEW YORK | The eight-team field is set for the 2020 Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Championship, with quarterfinals play set to begin Tuesday night (Feb. 25) at campus sites.
On one side of the bracket, top-seeded and 17th-ranked Yeshiva University (24-1, 16-0 Skyline) welcomes eighth-seeded U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (10-15, 6-10) to the Max Stern Athletic Center in Manhattan for an 8 p.m. tip-off, with No. 4-seed SUNY Old Westbury (15-10, 11-5) playing host to fifth-seeded Farmingdale State College (13-12, 9-7) in Clark Athletic Center at 7 p.m.
The other side of the bracket sees a pair of rematches from Saturday's (Feb. 22) regular-season finales -- both to be played at home sites in Purchase, N.Y., at 7 p.m. Third-seeded Manhattanville College (16-9, 11-5) will welcome sixth-seeded Sarah Lawrence College (11-14, 7-9) at Kennedy Gymnasium, while at the same time down Anderson Hill Road, second-seeded Purchase College, SUNY (16-9, 11-5) will play host to seventh-seeded Mount Saint Mary College (9-16, 7-9) at Purchase College Gym.
Semifinals action will take place at campus sites Thursday, Feb. 27, with the championship final slated for Feb. 29 (
note: accommodations will be made for religious observances). The winner of the championship receives the Skyline's automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship.
