Old Westbury Tops Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll

NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's 10 women's basketball head coaches have voted on their 2018-19 preseason poll, and defending champion SUNY Old Westbury tops the ledger after garnering eight first-place votes.

Head coach Michael Krasnoff's Panthers (23-4, 15-3) received 79 points in the poll, and were followed by 2017-18 conference finalist and regular-season leader, Mount Saint Mary (21-7, 17-1; 68 points, one first-place vote). St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn received the remaining first-place vote, and were tied in the poll with the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy with 56 points each. Farmingdale State was one point behind, and rounded out the top-five.

The six-team Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Championship will take place on campus sites from Feb. 19-23.
