Kean University freshman midfielder Justin Lappen had a strong showing in the conference tournament as a faceoff specialist for the Cougars. Lappen won 14 or 27 faceoffs and picked up nine ground balls in Kean’s two tournament victories. In the semifinals against Maritime, the conference leader in faceoff percentage, he won 10 of 15 faceoffs and picked up eight ground balls as the Cougars cruised to a 15-4 victory.
