Farmingdale State College freshman Nicole Farber displayed her versatility as the Rams opened their season by going 6-2 in Orlando, Florida. In her first career pitching appearance, Farber recorded a no-decision, but struck out nine in 6.1 innings against Newbury in a game in which Farmingdale won in 10 innings. Farber also batted .586 (17-for-29) with five doubles, two triples, two home runs and nine RBI. She was also a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases.
