David Katz Award Rookie of the Week Week Of 2/11/2008 Sport Men's Volleyball School Yeshiva Year Position Hometown High School Yeshiva University sophomore David Katz earns Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 3.00 kills and 1.86 blocks while hitting .366 (21-6-41) in a 1-1 week for the Maccabees. Katz had five kills and six total blocks as Yeshiva dropped a 3-1 decision to Polytechnic. He then hit .591 (16-3-22) with seven total blocks as the Maccabees defeated Medgar Evers 3-0 for their first victory of the season.
