Senior Vanessa Lawson averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists as Mount Saint Mary College picked up two more victories to improve to 10-1 on the season. In a 64-61 victory over the University of Scranton before the new year, Lawson scored 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Blue Knights defeated the Royals for the second straight season. Against Polytechnic, Lawson finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in only nineteen minutes. Needing only one point against the Blue Jays to eclipse the 1,000-point barrier for her career, Lawson achieved the milestone with a jumper at the 16:22 mark of the first half. She now has 1,013 points in four years at the Mount.
