Maritime College junior forward Mayer Nelson scored six goals and added an assist in leading the Privateers to two wins in three games. In a 6-3 victory over Brooklyn, Nelson assisted on the first goal and then scored three goals in a span of 20 minutes in the first half. Against St. John Fisher in the Manhattanville tournament, Nelson’s goal gave the Privateers a 1-0 halftime lead. He then found the net twice in the second half to help Maritime erase a 1-0 halftime deficit en route to a 3-1 win over Manhattanville.
