Sophomore outside hitter Krista Provost averaged 3.07 kills, 2.86 digs and 0.36 service aces while hitting .257 as Skyline Conference newcomer Russell Sage College opened its season by going 2-2 at the Las Vegas Blast tournament. Provost recorded 19 kills while hitting .356 as the Gators rallied from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 3-2 victory over Rivier. She added 11 kills, 10 digs and two aces as Sage cruised to a 3-0 win over Notre Dame (Md.). Provost was recognized for her outstanding play by earning a spot on the Las Vegas Blast All-Tournament Team.
