Skyline Conference

Senior John Pagano stood tall in goal, leading the United States Merchant Marine Academy to the 2007 Skyline Conference Championship. In two games in the Skyline Tournament, Pagano stopped 41 shots while allowing just 16 goals (8.00 goals against average) in helping the Mariners clinch their first NCAA Tournament bid. Pagano registered 19 stops in an 8-5 win over Montclair State in the semifinals. He came up big again in the championship game with 22 saves at top-seeded Stevens as the Mariners dealt the Ducks their first loss to a conference foe in 58 games.
