St. Joseph’s College freshman Joe Piliero opened his season and career by winning his first two matches in both singles and doubles play. Piliero, who has not dropped a set in singles action, recorded a 6-0, 6-1 victory at fifth singles against Purchase and teamed with Matt Berkhout for a 9-8 victory at third doubles. Against Yeshiva, Piliero picked up two of his team’s points by winning 6-1, 6-3 in singles and 8-3 in doubles.
