United States Merchant Marine Academy freshman pitcher Jess LaValley earns Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time after tossing her first career no-hitter in a victory over John Jay. LaValley struck out nine and walked just one over five innings. At the plate, she went 3-for-6 with two doubles, two runs batted in and one run scored as the Mariners swept the doubleheader to improve to 7-7.
